Ridderstee Ouddorp Duin

Room for improvement! We stayed in a family house with three bedrooms upstairs and one down stairs. Firstly the house was not properly cleaned on our arrival. The previous families laundry was in bags in the hallway as we walked in. After the first day we called regarding the following: -Large sliding door leading to the deck couldn't be locked. -Sink upstairs would not drain properly. -Upstairs bedroom window couldn't be opened because a hinge was missing. -The ventilation system had an alarm because the filter needed changing. -No extra highchair even though we had confirmed before arrival. The door, highchair, and air filter where rectified at the end of the second day. We also received complementary bread for the following morning for the inconvenience. This was very much appreciated. Not the ideal situation for a family with three young children under 3 years old and someone who was heavily pregnant. Check in is also not on the premises itself. You have to drive 2 minutes down the road. Nice house and location. Shame about the lack of maintenance and upkeep of the premises.

Fairly new place with a lot of nice things. 3 Showers and 2 Toilets in a 6-people house come with a dishwasher, a washing machine and a wine refridgerator. Multiple seat opportunities, 2 TVs and beautiful furniture can make this a nice stay. Kitchen, though, was not entirely cleaned up but that might just have been bad luck or the previous visitors not being tidy at all.

We had a beautiful luxury house for 6 people and used it as a couple with a dog. 2 great bathrooms with double rain shower or infrared shower, 3 bedrooms, 2 toilets and a living/dining room with kitchen island, wine fridge and fireplace, great (almost hidden from view) terrace with beautiful furniture = everything was great! The only drawback is the steep wooden staircase that leads to the bedrooms on the 1st floor - our dog couldn't manage it, so we had to set up a mattress camp in the living room 😉

It is a very nice holiday resort with many beautiful holiday homes. Some of these are located directly in dunes and you are shielded from people walking past the holiday home. There is a path to all of the houses and some of them allow you to park directly in front of them. You can also walk there to a central point in the facility and administration. Unfortunately, we were missing containers or soap dispensers in the bathrooms and toilets. Then there were only two trash bags for the whole week. A few more would have been better. We then got these things at the supermarket. Bed linen and bath towels were provided. But unfortunately no drying towels for the kitchen. Please rework here again. Everything else is easy to reach, including the beach. The service in the administration was very nice and friendly. It is a very nice holiday resort with many beautiful holiday homes.
